My neighbor threw dog poop on my car; should I call the cops?

The car was parked in my backyard about 3 feet from the wall dividing our property. I havent touched the car or the poop.I took pictures of the car at different angles as well. What can I do? I have not done anything to him. My dog does not even go into the front yard. The poops splatters show that the poop was thrown in the direction of his house.
