Quick, easy, and cheap way to get rid of fleas?

I have 2 dogs and 1 cat, 2 years ago our cat came into our home infested with fleas and our dogs ended up getting them. Anyone know how to get rid of fleas fast and cheap because i have tried so many things but they just don't want to leave my cat, its ridicules.
