Why does my head itch?

My head itches very bad. Really bad and no I have been checked for any fleas, lice, andthing . I was wondering if it was my shampoo or water or something else? I use suave shamp and condition and I have sulfur water ( unfortuneatly ) do u know wats wrong?

Okay so my cat is 9 years old and a little over weight. Ever since he was a kitten he would do this weird thing where if you scratch his but it would make him lick himself ! But it never really hurt him. Well lately if you even pet him on the back he'll almost attack himself like he's trying to get a flea. and sometimes he cries, but not often. Dramamine for car sickness?

Okay me and my gf is going to VA which is a 4hr drive for us.Well we cant leave my mini schnauzer home and plus i like taking her on trips.Due to the monition she seem to get car sick a lot,we drove 3.5 hr to the beach a few months back and the whole way she throw up a total of 10+ times.So i talk to my vet and he told me to give her Dramamine 45-1 hr before we leave.So here is the question:I was told to give her 1/2 a pill so if i apply flea med. to her tomorrow(wednesday) then give her dramamine thursday before we leave will it hurt her?do dramamine works?thank you

Like 2 hours ago I was at target and I bought the Hartz Ultraguard Flea and Tick (16-30lbs). I didn't think to read any reviews on it and I believe I have used it in the past on my boyfriend's dog. I put it on him and everything was fine. I then Googled the product and found all of these Web sites say that their dog died or got really sick, etc. I started to freak out and gave my dog 2 separate baths to get rid of the product. Am I going nuts? Does this product really hurt animals? If so, how can they keep manufacturing this product?!?!

What to do about a fairly sickly kitten?

Alright, so my neighbor gave me this kitten. I took her because I saw her brother laying dead in his carport. Most likely from the worms that were crawling out of him. At the moment, I have bathed her, she has a flea collar on. I have wormed her. But, she is not eating much. Unless I hand feed her. She hasn't drank water or gone to the bathroom, that I know of, yet. Also, she has an eye infection. And I have flushed them with saline and put Bactrum Ointment on her eyes. What the hell hit my car?

I live in South West Florida and I was driving down a road at night with trees on my right, all of a sudden I heard a huge BANG and saw that there was a large splatter of gooey something stuck on the right side of my car.. I did not see what hit me or anything weird before it hit for that matter. The liquid smells very foul and kind of like red tide, very ocean-like. There were pieces of what looked like egg shell maybe.. I don't think some one threw an egg at me because why would it smell so bad? It does not smell like a rotten egg I might add. Also the splatter is on the side of my car so I don't see how an egg could have fell and splattered like that on my car.. Any ideas?

I got this product at wall-mart last night and treated my cat with it. She goes outside quite often. About a month ago my husband spread tick granduals on the yard and this helped alot keeping the ticks off the cat and the kids. I got this product just to give an extra boost for the tick and flea protection. She is a great mouser but I was afraid of her getting parasites from mice and birds she kills outside, so I put a collar with a bell on it around her neck. I don't want to keep her in the house all the time. She refuses to use a litter box unless it is raining or super-cold outside. She goes outside like a dog would. Fine with me, keeps the house from smelling. My question is does this product (hartz ultragaurd pro for cats) work well? Is there something better? I don't want to keep her prisoner inside the house, but I want to be as safe as I can be letting her out.

I accidentally killed my friend's rabbit :(?

This is how it happened. I went over my friend's house and she went to go to the bathroom. Her rabbit was in his cage and I went over to pet him and play with him cause I was bored. What should I do about my dog going in the trash?

Is it safe to use flea shampoo on a Cat's open wound?

I'd try to keep the shampoo out of the wound as much as possible -- it would definitely sting and burn. You may have better luck trying a product like Advantage, Frontline or Pet Armor. They all work well; Pet Armor is cheapest and is the generic form of Frontline. I use it, works great and is endorsed by the national humane society. I buy it at Walmart. Watch the wound for swelling, excessive redness around the edges of the wound and drainage that is yellow/green, looks like pus or smells bad. All of those indicate infection. Trimming her claws will help prevent her from injuring herself. Flea combing is also helpful. Be sure to have a cup of water with a little dish soap in it nearby so you can drown the litter boogers! If she's got a bad infestation, chances are there are flea eggs in your carpeting. There are various sprays you can buy for that. Good luck!

Will someone give me some advice?

Here's my problem, my brother keeps on letting my dirty, nasty dog onto my bed whenever my mom is at work and my dog is'nt allowed inside but my brother does it behind her back. Anyways, I pretty sure my dog just got fleas and my brother once again let my dog on my bed, whatever i do i just cant stop my brother from doing this and im afraid to tell my mom because she yells at my brother really really bad if she finds out that he's been bothering me and i kinda feel a little sorry for him when she yells at him, and also if i do tell on my brother im pretty sure that he's gonna be calling me a tattle teller for the rest of my life. And she's not letting me wash my sheets, and i really really need help, because i dont know what to do now, and i just need soem advice on what to do. Should i tell my mom? I really dont know what to do, and it'll really mean a lot of someone helped me out :'(

Is my kitten dying?!?

My cat has been sitting in the same spot for a few hours each day. She's usually very frisky and loves to sun bathe, but now she stays out of the sun and in her little hidey-hole. Her fur has gotten thinner over only the past 4 days! She's also been coughing and sneezing. She tries to throw up here and there, but she only succeeds sometimes. Whenever you pet her she coughs and twitches. She's very sensitive to touch now, and she can barely open her eyes all the way. I tried to get my mom to take her to the vet but she said to wait a week more or so. This has been going on for the past week, perhaps? I'm really worried and she's only 1 and a half years old. She was perfectly healthy before this. We DID put frontline on her (Stuff for ticks and fleas) and she had some sort of allergic reaction.. but this was nearly 3 weeks ago. All she did was run around the house non-stop for a few days and could never get comfortable and never could rest and sit down. Is my cat okay? Should I try to force my mom to take her to the vet again?! I'm really worried for her and I thought I was sitting with her on her last night 2 days ago.. I can't let her die at 1 and a half years old, so I don't know what I should do. I'm so afraid for her. What should I do?

Flea's, how long can they survive without a host?

hi, i recently have been informed that my place of work has had a flea infestation, the cat flea type, and they have ccalled in pest control to fumigate the area. a few members of staff have since complained that their homes have now been infested through carrying the fleas home on there uniform. i, at first thought everyone was jumping (pardon the pun) at the opportunity of a few extra pound in their wages for compensation, as our work ( a major clothing outlet) were paying out on any products or infestation control that staff have had to pay out. i wasnt really concerned myself as i had no bites on my body like some of the others, also i have no animals in the house and had no real reason to concern myself. now it seems my 4 year old daughter has two bites on the ankle, well at least i think thats what they are, she is complaining of an annoying itch shortly after the bumps arrived, she has now a further two on her tummy. hubby got one on the lower leg the following day, however, my other daughter and i seem totally untouched. anyway, the long and short of the story is, i am wondering how long these vermin can survive without an animal to live on??? i have took all the bed clothes off and boil washed them, the only carpet in the house, in my bedroom, i have hoovered. do i need to do anything else??? i havent seen one pysically in front of me and have been looking all over the bed in our room as thats were the bites seem to be occurring. will they die of if there is only a couple??

Need a cleanable poo mat to put under xxxlarge dog crate?

Hi there, my great dane has a sensitive stomach and will get bad diarreah. It will last three nights and go away and will be back again. Im sick of getting up at 3am cleaning diarreah from my carpet because it splatters out of his crate. I was thinking I need some sort of wipeable flat mat to put under the crate and half up the walls for protection for when this happens again. Small bumps on my dogs right back leg?

my dog who is a male 7 year old dachshund/chihuahua mix and he just recently had fleas but we got rid of them from flea drops and flea baths. we gave him the recommended amount of flea drop and have only gave him two flea baths in the past week and a half. and so far it seem like the fleas are gone. but he still itches his back leg like crazy and he has been itching it so bad now there is a small bald spot (smaller then a size of a quarter) so i made my boyfriend check him out and near the bald spot where he is itching there is a small cluster of three small bumps they are about the size of this c < that c. maybe a little but smaller and if we touch them he crys like we ripped his leg off and a little farther down his leg is another small clusters of bumps the same size. does anyone know what they are? they are kind of dried out hard bumps i just got back from petco and bought him some oatmeal spray that is supposed to help with itching. i am wondering what do you think could be causing this could it be the heat change (it gets up to the mid-late 90's here) could it be something he is allergic to or something worse? im hoping this stuff works so far so good. dont worry if it stays longer then a week i am taking him to the vet i would just like to know if anyone knows what could be wrong with him and what could be causing this and what i might be able to do to help him not bite there or anything that can help :) thanks

the most effective treatment will be an aerosol floor treatment, not the "bomb"...the bomb uses an insecticide called pyrethrin..there is no residual to it so it will only kill what fleas they contact, so a few hours later when more fleas emerge from the pupa stage they will be unaffected. There are some foggers that do use a residual insecticide, but I wouldn't want to have it all over everything (the pyrethrin totally dissipates after a few hours). With the floor aerosol flea product you are applying to the floor itself, they will contain the insecticide for the adults and an IGR for the immature. To correct some mis information given, the eggs are not half the battle..they hatch into a maggot like larvae, not a biting flea. Any of the flea treatment products with the IGR will kill the eggs along with keeping the larvae from turning into the biting adult flea. It is the pupa stage that the flea emerges from and at times the flea numbers reappearing can look worse than the original infestation. If the fleas did come from the puppy, you do not to do anything to treat for fleas, for the most part people are too clean for an infestation to get started...if by chance you have stray animals living around the house or yard, that could be where the flea problem is coming from, but once again without an inside host, the fleas will not populate...if an animal has access under the house, that could be where the infestation is and some are finding their way inside.

I think maybe you need to spray your room with a flea or bug killer, just to be safe. Fleas are so hard to get rid of once they are in your house. At any store they have different stuff that you can use safely with pets and that are decided to kill any bugs. Just make sure your new kitten is not in the room when you do use the product. If you think they are in your bed, use a powder then sweep it off. And it also wouldn't hurt to check your kitty cat again to make sure all his fleas are gone. Maybe give him a bath with a flea shampoo...they also have pills that are safe to take with front line that will kill all fleas and eggs on your kitty cats. good luck!

Laptop screen problem?

Ok, so I was just doing normal stuff on my laptop when I heard my name being called so I closed the laptop and did what I needed to do and when I opened the laptop there was some thing on there which looked like a small splatter that was other colors but mostly green/pink. I had a hamster with these symptoms one time, and the vet told me that it looked like a skin fungal infection. They have shampoos that you can buy to get rid of it. Make SURE your baby doesn't have ANY bugs that you can see, but keep in mind, some parasites are too small to see. Keep an eye on the wound and the flaky spots, if it starts to spread, take him to the vet! He may just have dry skin, or the cut may just be trying to heal. If you notice it spreading or him scratching at it alot, this is usually the sign of a fungal infection (kind of like the mange) or a parasite problem. Just keep an eye on it! Make sure it doesn't spread and that he's not losing hair! Good luck!

Why is my kitten suddenly withdrawn/moody?

I may be answering my own question but I just wanted to get others advice who have more experience with kittens then myself. My ball python won't poop?

He usually pooped every 2 to 3 weeks, first some nitrates, and then a big solid poop the next day. He has eaten at least 5 mice since the last time he pooped and its been about a month. I'm a little worried because his last movement was a little scary, I didn't know what was going on at first! There was this horrible sound all of the sudden, which at first I thought was my cat vomiting. But then I noticed it was coming from the snake! He seemed to be struggling sort of, I would almost describe it as a convulsion. I thought maybe he was trying to regurgitate something the way he was moving. Then he stopped, came out from under his cave, curled up, and seemed alright. I took his cave out and it was apparent that he had just pooped. It was somewhat solid but seemed sort of half diarrhea also (it actually looked like a bit of it was forced out so hard that it was kind of splattered) and reeked more than snake poop normally does. I didn't think to take a sample to the vet at the time and just cleaned it up. He behaves normally for the most part, though he seems to be a bit off balance once in a while when I'm holding him. He eats just like he always has and drinks water on his own... which is what worries me, because what is happening to all the waste from the mice he's eaten?? Please help!

Not all of them are doing this but I've had about 4 that have filled up with water like blisters sometimes do. Is this the usual with flea bites? well, my dog is 77 years old, yes i know he is old. anyway, he keeps biting his outer thigh. We bought him a cone, but he also keeps barking and yapping! he gets really annoying. How do I get rid of fleas on 4 week old kittens?

We just took in kittens that are about 4 weeks old, and they are all covered in fleas, and there is concern that they have transferred over to a kitten who is only 3 weeks. What can we do?

Two day old kittens infested with fleas?

Use a flea comb for the mother at least, dip it in soapy warm water to kill the fleas. Comb her maybe twice a day. If you are very gentle you could probably comb the kittens as well, but not as much. And stop stressing. Wild cats have kittens everyday and there's no-one to de-flea them but they do fine. Good luck.

Does anybody here know about skin diseases in miniature poodles?

I am considering adopting a miniature poodle from a local no-kill shelter. She's very malnourished and she's an old dog - all of this is fine and I'm financially prepared for it - but she appears to have skin problems. It's not ringworm or flea-related...I know those problems on sight. Her skin is not crusty or smelly or covered in sores. It's just a sort of general inflammation. The shelter is so strapped for cash right now that it won't do any diagnostics on adult dogs except heartworm before adopting them out, so I won't know what it is until I take her to the vet myself. I'm probably going to adopt her anyway, but I'm just curious if there are any poodle lovers out in Yahooland who know what I might be looking at, here. Thanks in advance!

I had surgery on my head on ThanksGiving this year and it was cancer.I had a brain tumer the size of a big Lemon. I go to ST. Jude hospital. The special docters was wondering and figuring out if i can play sports. I begged and begged if i can play basketball. Why do i find basketball so boring?

I mean, the players are all close to 7 feet or taller and the net is only 10 feet. So they only have to jump like a foot or so off the ground with their arm extended. They're so lazy too, and disrespectful towards their teammates like koby bryand. I mean baseball on the other hand is so amazing, real men play baseball. Its the best sport to sit back and relax to a fair played game which isn't so damn easy like b ball. This is how it happened. I went over my friend's house and she went to go to the bathroom. Her rabbit was in his cage and I went over to pet him and play with him cause I was bored. So, I took him out of the cage (she doesn't mind) and let him walk on the floor. I had a red bull that I was drinking and the rabbit kept trying to get to it, but I pulled it away. Finally, I was curious if he would drink it, so I poured some in his bowl and put him back in the cage. He started acting funny and just fell over after like2 minutes :/ I ran outside and threw him over my friend's fence into the neighbors yard and came back in. My friend noticed that the rabbit wasn't in his cage when she came back to sit on the playground where I spent most of my days Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school When a couple of guys, they were up to no good Started making trouble in my neighbourhood I got in one little fight and my mom got scared And said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-air" I whistled for a cab and when it came near the License plate said "fresh" and had a dice in the mirror If anything I could say that this cab was rare But I thought nah, forget it, yo homes to Bel-air! Black spots on my dog's fur?

My short-haired red Dachshund has always had an even coat. Now she has started to grow a black patch of hair next to her shoulder. I checked the skin under it, it is not black, its normal--just the hairs are black. I checked her fur as well and she doesn't seem to have ticks or fleas. She doesn't scratch either, and she sunbathes every once in a while. I'm thinking this is an age spot but I am not sure (she is 5 years old).

Turtle Found, Help Please?

My dog has been 'finding' turtles in our backyard. A few weeks ago, she found a beautiful turtle. It is a hidden necked turtle, I believe, but don't know what kind. It has red, orange, and yellow spots covering the legs and face. It's shell was a dark green with no color whatsoever. We had to let her go, after a few weeks, as she wouldn't eat. Just this morning, I found another turtle outside. My dog has been digging up plants, so our landlord put these wired things around them to keep her away. Earlier she was barking and I went outside to find another turtle, under the wires. We rescued it and brought it inside. It has a dark green shell with lighter green splatters on it, but it's faint. It's legs are reddish orangish, and it's face looks like a volcano. It is also a hidden necked turtle. It has little dark marks around it's neck, looking like lines going through it's lips. I named it Killer. We need ot know what kind of turtle it is, and what we need to do with it. I know a picture wold help, but I don't have a camera. Please be serious about your answers, thankies.^^

My guess is your brother is trying to emulate and/or gain the approval of a role model in his life, and believes this behaviour will achieve that. Alternatively he's just trying to get his way and he's learned that this behaviour works. If your dad's not available to stop him, are there any others he would look up to and listen to? Can you work with your ma together, and maybe even your extended family also, to rein in his behaviour?

Oh my god. PLEASE help. Fleas or bedbugs?!?

I've got this little red bites all over. They're very itchy. I've done some research to try to figure out if they are from fleas, or bedbugs or something else all together. I put a picture of some of the bites up, the quality isn't good but its the best I can do. I do NOT have carpet in my room and my mattress is brand new. We just got it a few months ago. And we have no pets and don't live close to anyone that does so I have no idea what these bugs are or where they came from. Anyway, I was leaning towards fleas, because I have seen some of these bugs crawling around on my floor. I have seen them jump, which makes me think they're fleas. They're small and black or brown. They aren't hard to squish though? I've killed probably six of them with a book in the past hour. Also, I saw that fleas mostly bite your lower legs and I only have on bite on my ankle and several on my thighs, behind my knee, my upper arm, and a few on my stomach. Also, I read bed bugs hide in clothes and my room was VERY messy with tons of clothes everywhere. I just cleaned it yesterday, which is when I started seeing the bugs. I've only seen them on the floor. I just really need to know what these are so I can know how to go about getting rid of them. Tryna slim up for b-ball season. I got dis iphone app dats supposed to make you be able to run 3 miles in 2 months. If i start now i figure i can have better endurance by time football and basketball seasons roll up. Thing is i don't live in a nice neighborhood. There is all kinds of stray dogs out. Not to mention if somebody seen me running with an iphone they will prolly try to rob me. Gym aint no option i gotta save for when i turn 18. So would running around my backyard work da same?

Ok so i was workin out at skool for b-ball and ima sophmore so i went to get a drink and this very hot senior who ive never met was starin at me and i didnt say anything to her and she asked me wat my name was first so i told her and went back to workout and i saw her starin at me thru a window while i was lifting weights so later she walked over to me at my b-ball game and jus said hi then walked away then she continued to stare at me so im thinkin she likes me and i cant stop thinkin about her even tho i dont even kno her name. Is this normal or weird?????

There are little black specks in my dog's fur. What is it?

I have a toy poodle and I just began noticing some black specks tangled in his fur. I don't think they're fleas since they don't move but I don't think they're flea dirt either since it doesn't turn red in contact with water. Does it immediately turn red in contact with water? So what is it? Could it just be dirt? I've gotten rid of most of it, but there is still some left occasionally. If it is fleas/flea dirt, how can I get rid of it? Thank you.

I think I'm in love with my brothers friend's brother which is in my grade. We have a lot of things in common we play lots of sports, both have two older brothers and very athletic. We usually talk a little bit to each other every day just sayin hi and asking questions on b-ball like mavericks or Miami. I have a cat and lately I've been seeing that there has been splatters of blood everywhere that she usually is sitting. I also have seen some thin,black threadlike worms crawling around on the floor too. there're no more than a cm long and very hard to see. Now, I dont know if its all from fleas or not cuz we're trying to get rid of a small flea infestation we have in our apt. But ever since she was a kitten she was always sneezing and the rest of her litter died. The only thing i could think of causing the splatters is that she's sneezing blood cuz she's allergic to something,its just blood spots b/c she pops the fleas on her or there's something wrong internally....If someone knows anything about this or these symptoms I would really appreciate some insight before having to spend a bunch of money that I don't have on a vet bill.....she's about a year old and a mix of a russian blue and a grey tabby.....

Does this girl like me or just as a friend?

I am a 14 year old boy. Who likes a 14 year old girl and have for the past two years. She doesn't know i like her and i don't plan to tell her until i feel like it or until i know she likes me for sure. I've known her for about 1 1/2-2 years. I was seeing her once a week for a home-school co-op. I forgot to mention she is a Christian like me, we both go to church, we are the same age, we live only 4-5 miles from each other, we both home-school, and we play the same sport (basketball) in the same program. Those are the so far known things that we have in common. So anyway when i was at b ball camp i was helping (coaching on what not) and she was participate. We are friends. Her older sis. teaches my younger sis. violin and so in the Fall, Winter, and Spring i usually get to see the girl i like (if she is at home) once a week on Wednesdays. But in basketball camp i was trying to i guess flirt with her. I was trying to coach every game she played in i could. She would look at me on and off during the three hours of basketball camp. I would of course look at her when she wasn't looking because i like her and she is beautiful. She would make comments about how i was coaching on the bleachers behind me while i was coaching a different game. I wasn't coaching one of her games because she wasn't playing at the time. But i couldn't understand what she said and i was going to ask her what she said but i couldn't because i was coaching a game and i was going to after but i forgot to. Then the day before the last day of b ball camp after it was over and she and i were leaving i said see ya tomorrow and she said something like "OK don't hurt yourself" or something like that i really didn't understand her. I think she said that because i rode 4 wheelers to camp that day and every day of camp when i leave i would go real fast and speed off to my house so i think that's why she said don't kill yourself or something of that sort.Then the last day she would say some more things to me she thought that she had to make three baskets to win but it was really two. Then when she lost she was like "I didn't know i had to make three Ean" (Ean is my name) and she didn't say it to be mean she said it really nicely. When we were leaving i didn't get to say bye but i got to wave toher when she left in her car and she waved back. So does anyone know if she likes me or just likes me as a friend? Sorry for making this so long and thanks for reading and answering.

Question about apartment security deposit refunds?

First off, I need to say that I'm a very clean person. I have two cats and both are bathed once a month or so. I had a neighbor with a dog that he let outside without a leash all of the time and I think he gave us fleas...The apartment complex I lived in said that we had fleas and they charged us like 500 dollars or something crazy. They said they exterminated, but that makes me liable for the extermination charges (not to mention I know it wasn't my fault)? They said there was no evidence of fleas in any other apartments except mine, with my always indoor cats. I just can't understand how they can get away with this. I paid a 250 dollar refundable security deposit for the cats and a 250 dollar security deposit for the apartment, somehow I owe them 90 dollars. There was no damage to the apartment.

I'm sick of everything in life.?

seriously everything good is ruined by the bad, everywhere i walk people are always being evil and negative. People dont act like themselves but acting like people they arent. Everytime i work my tail off on projects and putting in extra effort on a daily basis or anything in general it gets graded poorly or my parents yell at me. Everytime i just finish doing a chore at home my parents yell at me to do something else. Everytime me and my parents talk i immediately i prepare for them to argue because i'm accustomed to it. I try to stay calm which is hard for me but i do stay calm they yell about nothing. I try not to argue because it doesnt resolve anything. Everytime i go to school i feel sick, depressed, tired. Everytime i come home nothing to eat but stale chips (which i understand that people have it worse). Everytime i start to go to bed they yell at me. Everytime i come home im tired. Everytime i finish my chores i start to play a videogame and my parents tell me ive been playing all day when actuallly just for 20 minutes. Every time i walk people throw trash at me and act like deuches. Everytime i wanna play a sport no body in my neighborhood wants to play. Everytime i join a team for YMCA people intentionally play the game the wrong way (No im not a puss, but its happened 3 to 6 times where kids on opposing teams would tackle players, throw b ball like dodgeball etc.) Everytime i go to school i feel i can only relate to a few people who are bland people. Everytime i go to school and communicate with others they are snobs and dont wanna talk. Everytime i like a girl, their going out with some one or they dont wanna talk. Everyday i annalyze everything and cant relax anymore and i dont find anything funny anymore. Everyday i feel stressed and never happy. I know you have a choice to be happy but i find it hard to be because everywhere i go trouble comes to. Everytime i walk into my house my parents tell me to get a job when clearly ive tried in my busy day and no where is hiring. Everytime i think about getting a car i cant because of money issues which relate to the job. everytime i think i have time to relax i can't. Even when i do get time, i cant find anything to do. Everytime i watch tv it is boring, every time i turn on the radio the music sucks. The only time things are enjoyable is watching youtube vids but thats bout it. Everytime i dream of being a wrestler my parents tell me no and remind me of teh injurys ive had in the past. Everytime i talk to my parents about my problems they simply dont wanna listen and interupt. Or they say we will resolve this by doing this tommorow and it never happens. Every time my sister comes home, im kind but shes mean. Everytime i get a new game system it seems to break a year after having it while i take care of it. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON WHERE I TRY SO HARD AND FAIL? HELP SORRY FOR THE LENGTH, if i bored you, im sorry :)
